Prospectus Letter (Final)

Dear Murdock Motors,

Four Paws Rescue Non-Profit Organization has placed 3,500 hundred dogs and cats in loving homes since 2000, it is in great need of a 12 passenger van ($25,000) that will sufficiently provide transportation during their travel needs, and the donation of the van from you will make this possible.

We have seen that Cache Valley Murdock has shown a tradition of excellence in making donations to non-profit organizations. Each year since you began selling vehicles in 1982 you have made sizeable donations to non-profit organizations. Most recently you have made donations in Cache Valley to: Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the north end zone reconstruction of Romney Stadium at Utah State University, the Boys and Girls Club of Cache Valley, and the Tourism District of Cache Valley. It is obvious that Murdock Motors has an amazing history of philanthropy in Cache Valley, and we believe that the next great donation from Murdock should be to Four Paws Rescue.

The shelter located in Millville, Utah currently has little means of transporting animals. Currently, Four Paws relies on volunteers to assist in the transport of animals to the Petsmart store in Layton, as well as, to other animal adoption events across the Wasatch Front. The current system is asking a lot of volunteers, and when there are no volunteers to transport the animals, Four Paws is unable to get the animals where they need to go for adoption. Currently the Petsmart store in Logan will only accept cats, for this reason, Four Paws is required to transport dogs to the Petsmart store in Layton. This task is extremely difficult without an available vehicle capable of transporting the animals.

With a donation from Murdock for a new 12 passenger van the shelter would be able to transport the animals whenever needed. The van would give Four Paws the capability of transporting more animals in a safe manner. There are currently many animal adoption events that Four Paws cannot participate in because of their limited transportation, and the new van would erase this problem. Frankly speaking, a new van is the single most important thing to keep Four Paws in operation.

Four Paws is a non-profit organization that’s mission is to rescue stray and abandoned animals from high-kill shelters and to find them loving homes. With additional help from donors, Four Paws will continue to help animals and be the leading animal shelter in northern Utah.

The total cost for the 12 passenger van we are requesting has a retail price tag of $25,000. In return we would place advertising for Murdock on the exterior of the van, ensure that press releases are sent to the media so news stories can be written of the generosity of Murdock Motors, and banners posted with the Murdock logo at all adoption and fundraising events. We will also be sending this request letter to Axtel-Taylor Chevrolet in Logan to explore their interest in a possible donation.

Without a 12 passenger van, Four Paws animal shelter is not giving enough animals a chance to find a loving home. A donation from Murdock will help save the animals that are placed in this shelter. If we have not heard from you by 6/1/08, we will look at other options to receive the donations that are essential to the success of Four Paws Animal Shelter.
